IV Pole Option / Channel Cut-Out
You can order your bed with or without an IV Pole attachment. It comes with a mounting bracket and can be installed anywhere on the headboard or footboard. The IV Pole has a 30-inch stainless steel pole with four ram hooks.
IMPORTANT: We also offer a 2” x 18” vertical tubing channel cut-out to accommodate medical tubing. You can request it in the headboard or footboard, center, right or left side. If your bed’s foundation articulates or has the hi-lo feature, as the mattress raises and lowers, the medical tubing will be following this channel to help prevent pinching. We also offer a cover insert when not being used.
Mesh windows are available in safety rails.
The lighter weight safety rails offer improvements to the overall operation and potential comfort for the loved one using the bed. The mesh safety rails offers improved ventilation for sleeping environments.
Padding for sides and corners
When ordering your bed, you will need to order your SleepSafe® Bed with or without padding depending on your needs. If you order padding, it will be installed at the factory and will cover ALL four sides for safety.
It’s important to NEVER use the bed if you have removed one or more of the pads. A gap will be created between the mattress and the sides of the bed potentially creating a risk for entrapment.
SleepSafe® bed headboard and footboard window options.
The need to see and be seen is very important for caregivers and sleeper. Since every situation is different, we added the option of ordering windows that can be installed in the headboard or footboard. This is helpful when ordering the SleepSafer® Tall Bed as it allows more visibility.
Dual View Option Available
The SleepSafer Tall and SleepSafe Extension beds come standard with two safety rails on one side and a solid back panel. If you require access to the end-user from both sides, you may select our Dual View option. This provides two safety rails on each side of the bed.
